How Do I Add Money to My Existing Mutual Fund Account?

You may add money to your account using the following methods:

Bank Wire
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
Automatic Investment Plan (AIP)

By Mail

Mail a check payable to Principal Funds with the "Invest By Mail" slip found on your account statement. You may also write a letter indicating your fund, account number, and registration as shown on your statement.

By Bank Wire

Your bank will need the following instructions to wire funds to an existing account:

Name of Bank: State Street Bank & Trust
BFDS as Agent for Principal Funds
ABA Routing Number: 011-000-028
DDA Number: 99056707
For credit to: Principal Funds
Ref: Investor’s Name and Fund/Account Number

Your federal wire purchase must be received by our bank prior to 3:00 p.m. Central time to receive the closing price for that business day.

By Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

Use the Electronic Funds Transfer form to establish banking information to transfer money electronically between your bank account and your existing Principal Funds account.

By Automatic Investment Plan (AIP)

Use the Automatic Investment Plan form to set up regular investments directly from your bank account into your existing Principal Funds account on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual basis. The minimum deposit per Fund is $100.
